Job Description
The Washington Post is looking for a highly-motivated Digital Marketing Specialist (Print) with a proven track record of developing successful offline marketing campaigns to grow awareness of Washington Post subscription products. The specialist will be expected to manage non-digital advertising campaigns (e.g. OOH, direct mail, affiliate relationships), optimize for performance and partner with internal teams to drive measurable results. The role requires a strong understanding of traditional advertising platforms and their paid/organic capabilities; the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities; strong attention to detail and the flexibility and creativity to work with a fast-paced, collaborative team.
The right candidate will be working closely with many roles within the company, reporting directly to the Head of Paid Growth.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns for Washington Post subscriptions
- Create and track non-digital campaigns across programmatic channels to increase awareness and drive traffic to product pages
- Design and implement A/B test plans used to evaluate creative and drives our understanding of audience response and value
- Prepare and deliver campaign performance reports for internal stakeholders.
- Adhere to fast-paced team deadlines
- Develop marketing best practices and leverage campaign performance data and industry insights to create strategic marketing decisions
Requirements include:
- 1-3 years experience working in print marketing, OOH advertising or similar.
- Proven track record of building successful marketing campaigns across print, digital and social platforms
- The ability to work collaboratively, prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- A passion for and understanding of news, the Washington Post brand, our readers and potential subscribers.
Additional Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, mass communications or a related discipline.
- Strong media, marketing, agency, client management or project management background (3+ years)
- Strong writing, copyediting and research ability
- Advanced skill level of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint, social media ad managers
- Experience working with demand-side ad platforms like MediaMath and The TradeDesk.
