Preschool TeacherThe George Mason University Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center, on the Science and Technology campus (formerly the Prince William campus), is seeking part-time Preschool Teachers from September to May. About the Position: The Preschool Prep class is a program offered in six week sessions starting in September 2022 and ending in May 2023. The children are 2.5 to 3 years of age. The class meets two mornings per week from 9:30-11:30am (work hours 9am-12 noon). Prefer the class to meet on Mondays and Thursdays; however, this can be changed.Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for planning and executing age-appropriate curriculum. Required Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to satisfy the Commonwealth of Virginia Program Leader requirements for administration of licensed child care facilities;Ability to attend 16 hours of yearly training;Ability to obtain Medication Administration Training; andMust also possess or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications.A tuberculosis test is required after hire. This position is subject to a criminal background investigation. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of this process.
