CFA Schedule and Event Coordinator The George Mason University College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) is currently seeking applications for a Schedule and Event Coordinator for the Center for the Arts (CFA). About the Position:CFA Schedule and Event Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, planning, and coordinating rental client and GMU-sponsored events at CFA performance venues. Including all aspects of an event from the initial inquiry to the final execution of the event, as well as the design and implementation of a rental marketing plan for the Center for the Arts facilities to corporations, civic groups, performing arts groups, governmental agencies and service organizations.Responsibilities:Oversees and maintains the CVPA Scheduling Database R25 and is responsible for generating and maintaining comprehensive CFA venue schedules including all events from all sources;Oversee and administrate rental application process which will include meeting with potential clients to determine their needs within the facility;Administrate rental contracts and cost estimates to clients with the approval of the Executive Director;Guide clients in preparation of events and keep clients informed as to status of deadline schedules, including but not limited to signing contracts, submitting deposits, submitting ticketing information, submitting event information, submitting insurance requirements and other relevant details;Provide clear, concise and timely communication of detailed requirements to CFA and GMU departments;Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments;Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations;Monitors and supervises facility set-up and contracted vendors as necessary;Serves as manager on duty as required;Prepare post event recaps information for submission to CFA Financial Dept for billing;Coordinate post event communication with clients to resolve any issues and insure future rental opportunities; andCreate and implement strategies to maximize facility rentals to all appropriate clients, focusing on corporations, arts organizations, civic groups, governmental agencies and service organizations.Required Qualifications:Working knowledge of Performing Arts Center facility operations and technical theatre;Ability to manage details and deadlines;Demonstrated interpersonal skills including both written and oral communications;General computer skills in both MAC and PC operating systems and software;Bachelor degree or greater or equivalent combination of education and experience; andConsiderable (three (3)+ years) of experience with professional arts organization.
