Graduate Engagement and Outreach Coordinator - Office of Graduate StudiesThe George Mason University Office of Graduate Studies, within the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC), seeks a motivated, critical thinker with outstanding communication and organizational skills for the Graduate Engagement and Outreach Coordinator position. The Graduate Engagement and Outreach Coordinator reports to the Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment.Responsibilities:This position is responsible for providing marketing, recruitment and administrative support to the office by managing the communication plan, event campaigns, and content across platforms including CEC graduate studies webpages, and web-based recruitment efforts for the College of Engineering and Computing. The position is expected to assist with administrative tasks such as telephone calls, emails, and student meetings, virtually and in person. Additionally, this position may be responsible for managing student(s) to assist with engagement and outreach content writing. There may be occasional work outside of normal business hours that includes evening and weekend hours.Some of the detailed responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:Content ManagementMonitor and update CEC graduate webpages, landing page, and blogs;Collaborate with the CEC Communications team to collect and disseminate content specific to graduate recruitment and outreach efforts;Manage and promote events on the CEC website and through social media; andUtilize analytics to track web traffic on CEC graduate studies webpages.Campaign Operations and CRM ManagementMaintain, develop, and update communication plans;Develop communication campaigns to include set up of email templates and recipient reports to effectively communicate with prospective students at each stage of the admission lifecycle;Track communication campaign statistics and broadcasts through the CRM; andCoordinate leads and inquiry data loads into the CRM.Recruitment and Marketing SupportBuild event campaigns for the purpose of inviting and attracting prospective students to CEC graduate recruiting events;Integrate videos and visuals, and work with various communications and marketing projects; both within teams and independently;Ensure program materials (print and digital) are up to date and accurate; andOther duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Communications or Marketing; or combination of education and experience in communications, marketing, admissions or business administration;Prior experience with administrative office procedures and complete suite of routine office software;Prior experience with remaining organized and paying strong attention to details;Outstanding communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills;Demonstrated customer service skills;Experience working with a diverse group of individuals;Prior experience taking initiative and completing projects and/or assignments with minimal supervision;Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn new software; andPrior experience working effectively both independently and collaboratively on a team.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree;Higher education admissions experience;Prior experience with software such as (Salesforce/TargetX or similar CRMs, Zoom, Drupal, MS Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.);Knowledge of graduate admissions, policies and procedures, and the ability to explain those policies and procedures clearly to others; andExperience in the field of communications, marketing, recruitment, or business administration.A Force for Innovation in the Heart of Northern Virginia's Technology CorridorThe College of Engineering and Computing at George Mason University is comprised of the Volgenau School of Engineering and a new School of Computing.
