The MIL Corporation is seeking Software Engineering, Analyst to perform the duties of aSoftware Defined Radio Engineer supporting Federal Customers at the NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS AND COMMAND (NAVAIR) located in Patuxent River, MD. Software Defined Radio Engineer involves using a challenging, offensive mindset to provide defensive security architecture solutions to our nations weapons and control systems.

Software Defined Radio Engineer involves using a challenging, offensive mindset to provide defensive security architecture solutions to our nations weapons and control systems.
Key Duties
- Establish and lead projects that further the organization's technical capabilities around Software Defined Radio development
- Provide systems engineering support for data design reviews, system behavior modeling, functional flows and descriptions, development of interface control documents and interface description documents
- Provide recommendations for System Requirements Development, Verification, Validation and Traceability within the DoD acquisition process
- Understand and apply Risk Management Framework for DoD Information Technology (IT)
- Ensure the technical quality of deliverables (reports, software, hardware, services) to customers
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience with Software Defined Radios
- 3+ years' experience developing software for implementing functions of communication or networking systems, or for modeling the performance of such systems
- Knowledge of and experience with the physical and data link layers of communications or networking systems
- Expertise with several of the following tools: C, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, VHDL/Verilog, shell, MATLAB, Linux and Windows OS
- Experience with C5ISR Systems
- Familiar with commercial wireless communication standards
- Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination.
Education
- BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NAVAIR
- Familiar with Defense Acquisitions and Lifecycle phases and timelines
- Familiar with Software Defined Radio frameworks, particularly SCA, REDHAWK, and GNU Radio
- Knowledge of and experience with U.S. military communication or intelligence collection systems
- Knowledge of digital design, development, and simulation
Clearance
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. Please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects.
