COVID Student Compliance / Conduct CoordinatorThis position is a temporary restricted position, with funding extended to June 2022. The George Mason University, Office of Student Conduct and the Student Conduct System invites applications for a COVID Student Compliance / Conduct Coordinator position. It is our goal, as students make their way through the adjudication process, they will leave that process as better educated students, better all-around members of the University community, and better global citizens.Responsibilities: The Student Compliance/Conduct Coordinator for University Life will be responsible for managing and coordinating student COVID-19 compliance response efforts. These efforts include, but are not limited to, the following of student compliance: face coverings, Mason daily COVID health check, surveillance testing and any additional required testing for residential students, immunization/vaccination requirements, event regulations, quarantine and isolation, exemption processes, and physical distancing. The Student Compliance/Conduct Coordinator for University Life will partner with University Life leadership and subject matter experts to provide management of student data, hearing outcomes and sanction completion. This position is a restricted temporary position, with funding provided through June 1, 2022. This position will be a virtual telework position, with flexibility for occasional on-campus work as needed.COVID-19 Compliance Response Responsible for staying current on all George Mason University policies and protocols, and federal, state and local ordinances regarding COVID-19; Responsible for monitoring student compliance in areas including, but not limited to: face coverings, Mason daily COVID health check, required surveillance testing and any additional required testing for residential students, health policies directed by federal, state, local, and university public health authorities, isolation/quarantine protocol, immunization/vaccine compliance and event restrictions; Review and ensure accuracy of student data reported for noncompliance, and forward to appropriate units for resolution, as needed; andCreate and manage a system to manage, track and monitor all cases of possible noncompliance, and their status within university systems.Compliance Reporting and Data Management Conducts project coordination for key priorities; Support the Office of Student Conduct in the processing of conduct referrals, including data management, first level sanction communication, and case adjudication, as needed; Manage the testing exemption process, in cooperation with Housing and Residence Life, Student Health Services and Disability Services; andProvides written and verbal updates and reports, as needed.Departmental Duties Participates in necessary meetings to support compliance; Coordinates meetings with appropriate stakeholders; andOther related duties, as assigned.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience; Demonstrated related experience (generally 2+ years); Demonstrated experience with project coordination and execution; Ability to work independently and to coordinate with others; Excellent critical thinking and strong written and verbal communication skills; Outstanding organizational skills; Demonstrated problem solving skills including planning, establishing priorities, and multi-tasking; Highly detail-oriented; Ability to work in a dynamic environment, and produce real-time results; Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism; andExhibit excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse populations.
