Project Coordinator, Office of the ProvostThe George Mason University, Office of the Provost invites candidates to apply for our part-time Project Coordinator position. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position:This position serves as the Project Coordinator for the Office of the Provost, supporting key university initiatives involving technology, business, and operations management effectiveness to build large scale education innovations for Mason students. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting multiple projects involving student services, technology integration and partnerships.Responsibilities:Coordinate meetings and activities for projects that involve stakeholders in multiple departments;Action item tracking and ensuring due dates are met with action owners;Monitor, track and follow up on project tasks and deadlines among task owners;Assist with creating project documentation, status reports, meeting presentations and executive briefings;Execute logistics for project events such as town halls and summits;Ensure all documentation is maintained for each project (e.g. maintaining online project calendar, document sharing, maintaining repository for actions, risks/issues); andAssist with creating project roadmaps and schedule visualizations.Required Qualifications:Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with project management;Strong organization skills and attention to detail;Strong administrative skills;Demonstrated time-management skills and ability to multi-task;Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word;Strong written and verbal communication skills;Ability to work independently and in a team setting; andExperience using online collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, Google Drive, etc.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in providing administrative support to complex projects with several contributing factors/influences;Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Project Online, Smartsheet, etc.; andExperience in a higher education setting.
