Information Technology Services is responsible for AARP enterprise-wide technology and information security functions. Services range from infrastructure design and operations, system and software lifecycle implementations, enabling the mobile workforce and protecting AARP network, systems and data. A variety of technologies and practices are used including cloud computing, automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning within highly collaborative Agile teams.
The Delivery Lead II is a core delivery resource on a platform/capability team responsible for ensuring team success by leveraging the appropriate Rapid Delivery methodology for predictable, quality delivery while maintaining a focus on continuous team improvements. This position operationalizes the platform/capability strategy and will be expected to deliver incremental business value in an agile environment. The Delivery Lead II must be a multi-faceted practitioner able to facilitate activities using multiple delivery methodologies, write technical documentation as needed, manage third-party development and/or consulting resources, and identify innovation opportunities for the team.

Responsibilities
- Integrating Rapid Delivery (Agile or other) principles into team practices and work products, including coaching the team on reporting, backlog development, refinement and prioritization and facilitating team ceremonies.
- Ensuring the team incorporates best practices and enterprise guidance around architecture, information security, agile delivery, quality engineering, governance, service management and user adoption in definitions of done for work completion.
- Driving the creation of consistent, value-driven user stories and the implementation of high-quality solutions while focusing on customer centricity.
- Leveraging delivery analysis and tools to evaluate, optimize, and continuously improve team output and delivery of business and technology outcomes.
- Identifying risks and dependencies proactively, removing impediments, and spearheading team problem-solving to achieve resolution or escalate concerns as needed.
- Managing the team's financial budget, software licensing for applicable tools, and third-party relationships.
- Developing statements of work (SOWs) for any third-party vendors or contractors that adheres to procurement standards and specifically includes operational requirements and outcome-based deliverables.
- Working with other Delivery Leads through a Community of Interest to increase the effectiveness of agile delivery within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- SAFe certified Scrum Master, PO/PM certifications preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience and use of agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- 3+ years' experience gathering and documenting requirements from end users and business stakeholders.
- Experience with agile tools like Jira/Greenhopper, Jira Align, Rally, or equivalent.
- A demonstrated ability to work within a team and build consensus towards a technical direction.
- Technology delivery experience from concept to design, development, implementation, and support.
- Broad understanding of the following network, identity and access management applications, including:
- Routers and switches
- GPON systems
- Wireless networks
- Firewall and Network Security devices
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Azure/AAD
