Summary
The MIL Corporation is seeking a Cyber Security, Senior Associate to provide support to accomplish feature deployment, security policy implementation, multi-factor authentication, access control enforcement, activity monitoring, configuration tuning, and system administration in support of the Commander, Naval Installations Command located on the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, VA.

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college. Six (6) years of work experience related to the position or an Associate's Degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience related to the position may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Cyber Security, Senior Associate to provide support to accomplish feature deployment, security policy implementation, multi-factor authentication, access control enforcement, activity monitoring, configuration tuning, and system administration in support of the Commander, Naval Installations Command located on the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities
- Work with all relevant Security Operations Center (SOC) customer groups including, systems administration team, network teams, security teams, infrastructure team, Enterprise Help Desk, program managers, and business unit sponsors
- Provide customer support for end users and help desk
- Maintain and update customer systems infrastructure configurations as needed, including network segments, switch integrations, wireless integrations, VM, VPN integrations, etc.
- Track all internal cases and adhere to change management process as specified by the customer
- Define and create, when needed, operational and cybersecurity polices in accordance with US Navy RMF, NIST, and other Department of Defense regulations and guidelines
- Participate in project meetings and conference calls
- Provide monthly status reports that summarize outstanding problems and barriers, tasks completed and anticipated future actions
- Train customer personnel in cybersecurity practices
- Provide recommendations for tool configuration and user training needs
- Know and conduct continuous monitoring actions in accordance with NIST 800-137, including recommending updates and reconfigurations to meet customer's needs
- Support automated reporting capabilities
- Define standard operations, incident response, and backup procedures
- Conduct extensive investigations with DoD and US Navy cybersecurity standards towards the acceptance of new products onto a military network
- Provide outputs needed to support RMF, such as recommending changes in technical mitigation documents
- Possess technical experience to recommend mitigating and/or remediating vulnerabilities or misconfigurations found in reviewing various customer eMASS packages
- Document findings and severity levels of non-compliance in formalized professional reporting, written and oral briefs, etc. in a customer acceptable format
Required Qualifications
- 10 years relevant experience
- U.S. Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and procedures experience
- 2-5 years of experience with eMASS
- Security+ Certification
- Ability to be pro-active with tasks
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Analytical ability to discover cybersecurity problems in test results
- Federal guidelines you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination
