Founded in 1842 on the principles of mutuality for our business clients, our agents, and our company, we believe in insuring opportunity through mutual successA' (R) and invite our employees to continue that tradition with respect, integrity, exemplary service, and personal responsibility.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Accounts Receivable Assistant is responsible for supporting Management in all facets of the Finance Department with a primary focus on those activities related to the premium accounts receivable applications.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Perform various daily reconciliation duties to include prior day cash receipts and daily cash receiptsReview daily Lockbox feed for items that require additional review; prepare correspondence for items to be returned to insuredsAnswer phone calls and emails from agents, insureds and co-workers related to billing matters such as reinstatement requests, payment receipt and account reconciliationsSpecial tasks as assigned to include unclaimed property, quarterly premium tax filings, bank reconciliations, collection referrals, A/P backup, and corporate credit card administrationWHAT YOU'LL BRING:High School diploma or general education degree (GED)A.A. preferredOne to three years related experience and/or trainingWHO YOU ARE:Strong collaborating and customer service skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamComfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactiveExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask, and be flexible with regards to workload and assignmentsVisit our Careers Page for more information on our competitive compensation/benefits packages.
