Our client, a leader in the precast construction industry, is looking to add an Maintenance Manager to their rapidly growing team. This may be the position for you!The Maintenance Manager will direct and manage the maintenance operations of the plant in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner. Provides leadership, management and technical expertise to the maintenance functions of a major precast concrete producer. Performs hands-on repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance as required by the operations.Responsibilities:Manages the day-to-day activities of the maintenance department and technicians.Creates a motivated, productive, and capable workforce following company policies.Monitors the performance and productive output in his department, takes corrective action as required. Makes recommendations and implements productivity improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.Repairs and/or replaces equipment as needed to keep equipment up and running efficiently.Sets up and implements preventive maintenance schedules.Schedules equipment outages for preventive maintenance.Trains equipment operators on the proper operating procedures.Maintains records and produces required reports.Maintains highway mobile equipment.Schedules state mandated tests and inspections and keeps required logs and records.Maintains a safe work environment and promotes safe work practices. These include but are not limited to lockout procedure, lifting and rigging, electrical shock hazard, fall protection, etc. Communicates and implements company and regulatory safety policies and standards.Insures that all equipment and tools are safe to operate and use. Performs routine inspections to meet internal, OSHA and insurance requirements. Detects and correct safety issues.Coordinates company energy saving activities.Maintains a timely supply and inventory of materials and spare-parts as needed to insure uninterrupted or minimum downtime equipment operations. Manages all environmental permits and compliance requirements pertaining to air, water, wastewater, and storage tanks. Ability to implement a continuous improvement program.Ability to implement and sustain an equipment preventative maintenance program.Qualifications:10 years maintenance experience with 5 years at the Management level.Thorough knowledge of Mechanical equipment, preferably in a Precast or related industry.Thorough knowledge of Electrical equipment, including power distribution systems and electronic controls. Thorough knowledge of Heavy and light mobile equipment.Excellent leadership, communication and people skills.Good planning and organizational skills.Basic PC computer knowledge.APPLY TODAY!
