Health Informatic Specialist
Description:The Bizzell Group, one of the fastest growing companies in America, is seeking a Health Informatic Specialist to act as a liaison between clinical end-users and the Electronic Health Record. Provide technical expertise to leadership for clinical effectiveness teams, clinical optimization, quality improvement teams, governance councils and complex projects.Responsibilities:Health care professional, ie, RN, LPN, PA, RT, MT, RD, etc., who uses that knowledge to influence and adapt EHR and medical devices to drive management of the health system toward effectiveness and efficiency. Performs workflow assessment and optimization in clinical, administrative, and research domains in addition to adapting medical device and software controls to existing workflow. The incumbent is a primary resource for MDI leadership when mission critical updates / problems are identified at the facility, regional, or national levels and serves as a subject matter expert for new technology assessment and usability.Performing as a primary MDI subject matter expert for Health Informatics, he / she serves as a knowledge expert for the electronic health record and associated medical devices and provides users and staff with consultative support and education.Supports the end-to-end site coordination and execution of the developed medical device integration process and procedures.Consulting, advising, and educating all levels of employees including the highest levels of management on methods and means to make health care operations more effective and efficient.Integrating knowledge of clinical and information processes to achieve successful adoption and application of new technologies to support health care operations and systems.Developing and performing clinical functional validations of various medical devices to EHR integrations.Developing and presenting recommendations for improving medical device management methods, follow-up procedures, and timely compliance with regulatory guidelines.Provides expertise in the design of medical device integration workflows and methodologies that improve health care efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.Evaluating the unique needs of the specific clinical services in conjunction with the capabilities of the software and associated medical devices and coordinating any required modifications.Reviewing the effectiveness of the systems and procedures to assure optimum benefit to patient care activities.When functionality is compromised, troubleshooting by determining the cause of and / or the solution to the problem.Provide communications support (written and oral) to executive leadership. Manage and participate in workgroups.. Requirements:5+ years focused in clinical and/or healthcare delivery5+ years background in electronics health records integration5+ years' experience in test execution and issue resolution pertaining to medical device integrationEHR Deployment and support experienceMinimum Bachelor of Science in a relevant clinical domainFunctional clinical and/or logistics support experience in various specialized inpatient and/or outpatient environmentsKnowledge and experience with medical device regulatory standardized integration practices including CAP, FDA, ISO, and NISTData analysis experience including metrics development, reporting and/or presentation development, and data analysis recommendationsDevelopment of communications and associated presentations for executive leadershipQualifications:5+ years background in Department of DefenseHands on knowledge and experience with one or more Cerner Millenium applications such as PowerChsrt, SA Anesthesia, PathNet, RadNet, etc.Experience in project/program management coordination of activities pertaining to oversight including medical device implementation, testing, and sustainment10+ years executive advisory / consultation experienceMHS GENESIS Medical Device Integration experienceProject management certification including LSS, Agile, or PMP/PMI.Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management SystemsPerform project management activities for geographically dispersed projects.
