POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for maintaining the kitchen and dining areas in a clean and orderly condition. Washes, cleans, sanitizes, and stores all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment used to operate the kitchen and dining room areas. Cleans floors, equipment and other areas as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:A cents € cents High School diploma or equivalent certification preferred. A cents € cents Minimum of 1 year working in the food service industry preferred. A cents € cents Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.RESPONSIBILITIES:A cents € cents Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere. A cents € cents Work closely with the Dining Director to keep residents satisfied with the community's food and dining programs. A cents € cents Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition always. A cents € cents Strictly adhere to PSL procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, and sanitation, promptly reporting any transgression to supervisor. A cents € cents Wash and store all dishes and equipment in accordance with PSL policy and procedures. A cents € cents Maintain dish room area in a neat, clean, and sanitary manner. A cents € cents Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied. A cents € cents Assist with the preparation and execution of the Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs. A cents € cents Maintain dish machine after each meal by thoroughly cleaning and maintaining sanitizing temperatures and parts per manufacturers recommendations and PSL policies and procedures. A cents € cents Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned. A cents € cents Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies. A cents € cents Assist cooks and wait staff as requested. A cents € cents Adhere to Quality assurance standards and standard food safety practices. A cents € cents Report all incidents, accidents, unsafe, hazardous conditions, and equipment immediately to a supervisor. A cents € cents Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals. A cents € cents Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights. A cents € cents Attend all required in-service trainings. A cents € cents Performs all other duties as needed or requested by supervisor.LEADERSHIP:A cents € cents Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority. A cents € cents Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors, and regulators). A cents € cents Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community. A cents € cents Maintain flexible work schedule to be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. A cents € cents Follow The Peregrine Way and Peregrine Senior Living policies and procedures.PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIRMENTS:A cents € cents Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. A cents € cents Additional physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting and generally all movement associated with Dishwashing.
