Overview:Axient is seeking Journey Level Engineering Technicians (V) to join our team.Responsibilities:Provides engineering and technical support for reliability, maintainability, testability, quality assurance, diagnostic and system safety analyses during the design, development, production and in-service cycles of all Naval aircraft and their systems.This support encompasses carrier based tactical aircraft, shipboard capable vertical/short takeoff and landing aircraft, maritime support aircraft, unmanned aircraft, tactical weapons systems, support systems and equipment and aircraft launch and recovery equipment.Supports the execution of complex tasks with minimal supervision.Applies engineering techniques, principles and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components.Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares or applies engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures.Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information.Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components.Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data results.Qualifications:Education:High School diploma or GEDCompletion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technicalschool curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology; or completion of at least 60 semester hours of course studies at an accredited institution in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.Experience:Seven (7) n years of experience in aircraft, weapons systems, or aircraft support equipment with relevant experience in aircraft operating principles, theory, skills, and maintenance of aircraft, aircraft systems and equipment, or ground support equipment.Military experience in aviation maintenance is desirable.Experience in technical writing, including preparation of well-organized technical documents and reports that included significant analysis and discussion of the subject matter with pertinent conclusions and recommendations is required.Top Secret or Secret Security ClearanceMust meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols
