Job Summary: Responsible for everything fromadministrative work to patient and physician support tasks at Children's HeartInstitute. Assist in getting a patient's medical history information, takingtheir vital signs, intakes, EKG's, orthostatic, and conducting all types ofpatient test. The scope of the work will depend on the needs of the facility orpractice.Duties andresponsibilities: Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments.Conduct patient tests including but not limited to stress, stress echo, autonomic, nerve conduction/electromyography (NEG), QSART, neuro cognitive/QEEG, tilt, TCD, bubble echo, sibo, and any other test required or added for patient testing.Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, and other information for records while maintaining strict confidentialityConduct EKG'S, orthostatic, and detailed summary of symptoms.Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.Assist in maintaining the medical inventory by notifying supply order personnel regarding low stockage for medical supplies and equipment.Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.Ability to apply holter monitors to patients and ability to calibrate holter and event.Set up charts prior to appointments.Empty Trash in patients' rooms TWICE a day including during opening of the clinic and emptying during the closing of the clinic as well.Maintain document's and patient's medical records stored in EClinicalWorks.Ability to answer patient phone calls if need be transfer or put calls on hold.Scan medical documents, including outside medical records, and holter liability.Stock rooms daily with exam table rolls (at least 3), hand sanitizer, tissue, blanket and gloves (All 3 sizes small, medium, & large).Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.Ability to measure blood pressure and set up blood pressure monitors.Complete inventory for supplies for testing/clinic and provides list of need items to Manager.Keep testing equipment in stock, while machining sure to back up equipment such as TCD machines (back up every two weeks).Upload testing documents in a timely manner.Must fill out tracking documents for all test daily and turn in to manager by end of shift.Ability to handle duties of other staff including medical receptionist, patient coordinator, phlebotomist, and other members of staff that may require you to fill occasionally.PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.Qualifications: High School Diploma GED or equivalent experience.Medical assistant certification required.At least 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred.Must be able to work legally in the United States.Must be able to pass a background and a drug screen.Responsible use of confidential information.Ability to communicate and lead effectively and professionally in verbal, written and presentation form.EXCELLENT customer service and pleasant demeanor.Physical Requirements: A' . Regularly required to stand, walk, sit,use hands, talk, see, and hear.A' . Must be able to lift at least 50 poundsand push or pull up to 100 pounds.A' .
