RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONSA' . Supports the Managing Director of Environmental Affairs with ACI-NA's activities in aviation environmental matters, including, but not limited to, environmental resilience, sustainability, aircraft noise, water quality, and air quality issues.A' . Under the direction of the Managing Director of Environmental Affairs, assists in managing multiple aspects of the Environmental Affairs Committee, which may include work in the following areas:o Environmental Affairs Committee's nine Working Groups, including promoting Working Group membership, scheduling and facilitating regular Working Group meetings, and keeping members informed through the ACI-NA members' community discussion board and resource libraries.o Planning and execution of the Environmental Affairs Committee Conference twice a year (spring and in the fall in conjunction with ACI-NA's annual conference).o ACI-NA's annual Environmental Achievement Awards.o North American participation in ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation Program, including promoting the program among North American airport members, and organizing annual ACA participant recognition activitiesA' . Manages the Environmental Affairs Committee's Young Professionals Group and coordinates its activities and initiatives with other committees' Young Professionals Groups.A' . Assists with the development, coordination and presentation of environmental policy, recommendations, and government funding needs assessments and proposals in support of ACI-NA's government and legislative affairs activities. Examples of possible near-term work items include airport infrastructure needs related to Sustainable Aviation Fuels, and airport progress and road-maps to Net Zero.A' . Assists with development of responses to government initiatives on environmental matters of concern to airports.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSA' . Ideal candidates should have a bachelor's in environmental science, environmental policy, public policy, planning, engineering, or aviation management (with a focus on environmental issues).A' . Two to three years of prior work experience in a relevant field is desired.A' . Prior work at an airport or aviation-related position is desired.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Environmental Quality Scientists: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training (Preferred)Work Location: One location
