This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to accelerate their career by working with top professionals across sales, marketing and go-to-market operations. This is a fast-paced, customer facing role that reports into the sales organization. BD interns will conclude the summer with a solid acumen of sales skills that will enable them to uncover, identify ,and progress potential business opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you need:
  • To make initial contact with potential clients and educate them on the impact Appian can have on their
  • To proactively schedule sales meetings through cold calling and marketing initiatives, driving sales pipelines,
    new logos, and growth
  • To partner with Account Executives to create customized account plans and strategies to support sales
  • To update and manage activity in SalesForce
  • To complete an end-of-internship project presentation to senior leadership

  • Training : Sales Fast Start, which is our 5-day training program focused on equipping our sales new hires
    with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful out in the field, like ValueSelling Framework training.

Basic qualifications:
  • Current junior, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or another equivalent
    field of study from an accredited university or college
  • Relevant work and/or internship experience in sales and/or customer facing operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior level
  • Effective problem solving, time management and organization skills, with the desire to achieve results
  • Intellectual curiosity, along with a competitive spirit
