Duties

  • You will be responsible for the execution of work to ensure the readiness of mission related industrial equipment and associated support services at the Carderock Division West Bethesda site.
  • You will provide maintenance, cradle to grave inventory, life cycle repair requirements for real property and equipment in support of mission test capabilities for the technical codes.
  • You will perform full range of duties associated with the program/project management of Preventative Maintenance Program mission support functions.
  • You will oversee the total operation, maintenance and repair and improvements to support preventative maintenance scheduling as well as facilitates inspection, scheduling and record keeping.
  • You will have the sole responsibility for the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program, to include frequencies of PMs performed on equipment, issuing and closing of tickets, inspections of equipment and facilities after the PM has been performed.
  • You will be responsible to develop and implement all tasks associated with operations, maintenance, repair and improvement of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • You will be responsible for creating operating instructions, developing maintenance planning criteria, formulating fiscal year and 5 year budget cycle costs, and recognizing system improvement opportunities.
  • You will ensure the safe and effective technical and administrative direction of the Preventative Maintenance Program to include acquisition of new equipment; long range equipment maintenance and repair planning; and instrumentation procurement.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.


Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing Technical Engineering support for facilities operations, maintenance, repair, or alterations to ensure preventive maintenance requirements are met.
