Duties

Under the direction of the Marketing Director, maintains all FSD online and digital marketing content and assists with creation of
marketing collaterals, content, and campaigns. Supports all aspects of the division's promotion and publicity program and works very closely with all the members of the marketing and publicity department. Collects and disseminates information about division's programs and activities. Disseminates variety of calendars, posters, brochures base-wide. Works closely with the marketing director and staff to give presentations at Community Events Council, Newcomers Orientation, and other briefings as required. Attends special events as needed, sometimes working on weekends or evenings. Assists with designs and maintaining the division's public online platforms, upgrading in terms of content and improvements to take advantage of the latest technology. Assists with creating prepress digital artwork, illustrations, and advertising materials for multi-media presentations. Creates and sends weekly e-mail blasts to targeted base groups. Works to ensure that the web design meets installations security standards. Performs basic routine graphic design. May assist in designing, laying-out, illustrating and producing graphic communications using computer software. Includes recommendations for various media layouts such as copy, photographic and print releases. Must keep abreast of changes to Force Instructions and guidance covering web pages and maintenance and as well as ensuring all licenses and registrations are updated. Assist with information booths at fairs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Excellent copywriting skills. Possess functional knowledge with different graphic programs such as
Photoshop, Illustrator. Experience or training in website platforms such as Wix, Dreamweaver. Must have clerical experience in which the employee demonstrated the ability to perform at the grade level of the position, which may require receiving and compiling information and data, the correct use of English grammar and spelling. Must have general knowledge of typical office equipment. Must be familiar with the operation of digital cameras and video equipment. Must have ability to read, write, and speak English. Requires satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check. Must possess a valid driver's license. Strong public speaking skills are required, must be able to give briefings to large crowds. Knowledge of marketing techniques such as focal groups, comment cards, and interviews.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

  • According to Executive Order 14043, "Guidance on Applying Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination Requirements to New Hires": New Department of the Air Force civilian employees must be fully vaccinated by their entry on duty (start) date or November 22, 2021, whichever is later. If a new hire intends to request a medical or religious exemption, the start date will be delayed until the exemption process is complete and applicant is either approved for an exemption, or becomes fully vaccinated.
