Duties

As a Supervisory Program Manager, you will:

Serve as the principal advisor to the Director/Deputy Director CURE on all issues related to these programs.
This will include the following:
  • Manage, direct, and implement national programs within CURE's Resource Division which may include any of the following CURE functional programs: Training, Grants and Loans, Community Development Financial Institution Fund (CDFI) Streamlined Application Program, and the Minority Depository Institutions (MDI).
  • Plan and coordinate the goals and activities of the Division and supervises staff in a broad range of functional areas. Oversee the initiation, development and implementation of policies, procedures and training in order to accomplish CURE's program objectives. Serve as an authoritative expert on the Community Development Revolving Loan Fund (CDRLF) loan and grant programs, MDI preservation, or training and Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Review and evaluate current programs and future needs. Evaluate organizational activities and advise senior management regarding the accomplishment and evaluation of program goals.
  • Serve as the primary source of information and advice for the directors within CURE regarding assigned program activities, conferring with the applicable other Central and Regional Office managers as needed. Advise office leadership of gaps in policy areas, conflicts with other policies, or other potential problems.
  • Perform the full range of supervisory and managerial functions for assigned staff, which includes, but is not limited to: determining needed resources (financial and human), planning the division's activities and work flow, setting goals and objectives, preparing work schedules, assigning work, providing advice and counsel, identifying educational needs and developing and providing related training, interviewing potential employees, and performing all personnel functions associated with the supervisory position.
Individuals who must relocate for this position, may be approved or required to begin work temporarily in their current geographic location prior to relocation to the permanent duty station advertised in this vacancy announcement.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

For the CU-14 level you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience analyzing financial statements and developing recommendations related to financial institutions for senior management based on findings, evaluating Credit Union operations, or developing programs to assist credit union or banks with needs; and serving as a lead on projects.

For the CU-15 level you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-14 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience overseeing staff (as a supervisor or team lead) responsible for technical assistance and outreach to banks or credit unions; and developing or identifying programs to assist credit unions or banks with operational or strategic needs.
