Federal Government Contractor - Contract Manager - Job DescriptionThe successful candidate in this position will assist in the management and execution of Prime Contracts and Subcontractor Teaming Agreements. This individual will work closely with Business Development, Program/Project Management, Accounting, and other stakeholders. The contract Manager will initially be hired on a full-time consulting basis on a 1099-NEC basis with the potential to be hired as a direct employee at a later date.Qualifications - The Contract Manager will have:Valid proof of US citizenship and a security clearance (or the ability to obtain a clearance)A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, or other relevant fields5+ years direct experience supporting Federal Government contracts, Subcontractor Teaming AgreementsKnowledge and experience with FAR/DFAR regulations and agency-specific acquisition regulationsA solid understanding of procurement processes from RFP to contract award, management, and enforcementGood understanding of contract reporting (ie, Manpower, SAM.gov, CPARS, Subcontracts, ITAR, etc.)Extensive knowledge of and experience with multiple types of Government contractsA solid understanding of various contract types and principles (FFP, T&M, IDIQ, etc.)Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and oral/writer communications skills with negotiation capabilitiesExtensive experience in identifying T&C risks and facilitating the mitigation of those risksProficient competence with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Ability to be a self-starter and to work independently/collaboratively identifying issues and solutionsAbility to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple tasks concurrently and pay attention to detailResponsibilities - The Contract Manager will:Initiate, track, and monitor contract changes, deliverables, correspondence, and risks, and maintain associated documentationInitiate pre-and post-award contract support for prime and subcontracting agreementsReview solicitations for contractual risks; draft and negotiate contractual agreements including contract modifications, teaming/non-disclosure agreements, statements of work etc.Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc.Be a strong team player with demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal groups to quickly achieve common goalsPrepare, track, and manage contract documentation; liaise with contracting officers and other client-agency procurement staffAssist Business Development, pricing, and technical staff in development of business proposalsHave compliance oversight - exercising knowledge regarding FAR, DFAR, and contract-specific compliance issues, including corporate policies and standardized proceduresDevelop and submit documents and information to Federal client contracting officialsReview and evaluate requests for proposals (RFPs/RFQs) and changes to contractsLead proposal Contract Volumes, ensuring contract compliance with RFP T&CsDocument risk registersProcess and administer IDIQ contracts, including task orders and contract modificationsAssist with Small Business Contracting Plan development and administrationJob Types: Full-time, ContractSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Reston, VA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:working with FAR/DFAR and agency specific regulations: 5 years (Required)solid understanding of contract types and principles: 5 years (Required)solid understanding procurement processes - RFP to award: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:proof of United States citizenship (Required)Security clearance:Confidential (Required)Work Location: One location
