Day Program ManagerLocation: Lanham, MarylandSupervisor: Director Of Quality AssuranceExempt/non-Exempt: ExemptBenefits: Health Insurance, Dental, Life, STD, paid time off, and retirement planType: Full timeDepartment: Day Habilitation ServicesDescription: The Day Program Manager is responsible for providing overall management of the Day Habilitation Program, including supervising and managing staff, developing and managing the Day Habilitation Program budget, developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, and overseeing and monitoring all clinical, site, administrative, personnel and financial activities of the Day Habilitation Program.Essential Job FunctionsEffectively recruit, hire, train, assign, direct, counsel, discipline and evaluate performance of the Day Habilitation ProgramManagement StaffResponsible for the overall management of the Day Habilitation Program staff schedules, ensuring the Program is operating per required ratios and is within budget.Determine mission, goals, priorities, and operational structure of program services offered at the day program. Develops annual goals and ensures the goals are consistent with the agency's strategic plan and reports on status.Acts as primary spokesperson for the program promoting and publicizing activities to the public and specialized groups; develops public relations material for the program; Attends to activities to facilitate positive public relations.Develop and enforce policies and procedures for the day program. Ensure program meets Medicaid and OHCQ requirements. Facilitates routine assessment of compliance and quality improvement plans to address compliance issues.Monitor facility to meet safety policies and requirements: Develop and enforce program procedures regarding safety. Ensure safety procedures are followed and that equipment used in the program is properly maintained. Review and revise emergency procedures and safety plans.Facilitate process for individuals coming into services. Develop orientation program for individuals coming into services and their families/care providers.Evaluate quality and effectiveness programming offered at the day program. Complete quarterly report outlining data regarding program goals. Recommend strategies to improve programming.Oversee facilitation of and implementation of individuals IP's. Work with the Program Service Coordinator to ensure individual's service delivery needs are met. Ensure classes and activities are offered as scheduled. Ensures process to obtain demographic, contact, and emergency information regarding individuals is followed. Oversee documentation systems ensuring completion.Ensure process is in place to accurately record and monitor individual's attendance information. Analyze attendance data and address attendance issues. Oversee documentation systems for supplemental funding.Work in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team to ensure clinical needs of individuals are met. Make recommendations to address clinical needs, communicate with appropriate parties regardingEnsures program operates within budget. Establish the personnel budget for the program annually and assist in the development of the program budget.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related discipline required; Master's degree highly desirable or Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience gained through increasingly responsible supervisory positions within Human Services.Experience working with developmentally disabled adultsValid State issued Driver's LicenseMust complete a successful drug test and criminal background check.Must have a current PPD.Must have all state required training.
