HGL is one of the few companies that remain committed to research and development, offering a dynamic work environment for creative, energetic professionals.HGL is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our HR department in our Reston. VA office.Responsibilities/DutiesThe HR Generalist will be responsible for performing professional-level HR-related duties, including providing assistance, services, and guidance on a wide scope of HR issues.Manage the recruitment process for assigned business groups, including posting positions, coordinating interviews, and offer letters.Manage the onboarding process for assigned business groups, including new hire emails, coordinating background checks/drug screens, and I9 completion.Conduct new hire orientation on assigned weeks.Manage employee training systems and ensure completion of required trainings.Manage required actions related to our Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) employees, including tracking vacation allotments and working with HGL's SCLS H&W vendor to ensure compliance.Be a member of our SCLS committee and record minutes.Ensure the delivery of labor law posters to offices/project sites as well as access for remote employees.Act as the main HR support for our MMRP group including processing contract changes and location tracking.Manage the recognition program including service award delivery.Provide initial communication and response to employee HR-related questions, re-direct and escalate as applicable.Provide management with requested reports and documentation.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and use of general office equipment.Highly detail oriented and organized.Ability to main confidentiality.Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.Ability to work effectively within the HR team and across the organization.Ability prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.Ability to learn software programs applicable to our HR department.Required Experience4+ years of HR Generalist experience.Preferred Experience2+years in federal government contracting industryExperience with ADP Workforce Now and Deltek CostpointExperience with SCLS requirements and complianceRequired EducationBachelor's degree in HR Management, Psychology, Business Administration or other relevant field.Preferred QualificationsSHRM-CP or PHRDetailsA pre-hire drug test is required.Job Type: Full-time
