We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team and monitor and Assist the Human Resources department. HR Specialist responsibilities include preparing compensation and benefits packages, setting up company policies and maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of labor legislation. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures run smoothly at all times.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review compensation and benefits packagesAdminister health and life insurance programsImplement training and development plansPlan quarterly and annual performance review sessionsInform employees about additional benefits they're eligible for (eg extra vacation days)Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment statusMaintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary recordsForecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothlyDevelop and implement HR policies throughout the organizationMonitor budgets by departmentProcess employees' queries and respond in a timely mannerStay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislationMaintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductionsPreparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wagesCalculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer's payments for social security, unemployment and worker's compensationResolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queriesMaintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and proceduresProcessing and issuing W-2 forms to employeesSkillsProven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR GeneralistHands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), like BambooHR and PeopleSoftKnowledge of Applicant Tracking SystemsSolid understanding of labor legislation and payroll processFamiliarity with full cycle recruitingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood problem-solving abilitiesTeam management skillsBSc/MSc in Human Resources or relevant fieldJob Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Language:Spanish (Required)Work Location: One location
