Please see our website at for more school information.Position Summary:Administer every aspect of student billing functions, miscellaneous cash receipts, and other accounts receivable duties as listed below.Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities:Prepare and mail monthly statementsRun monthly reports and balance with general ledgerBillings to accounts; regular school year, and summer programsPost payments and credits to accounts, including financial aidEnter and prepare deposits for paymentsAdminister all payment plansManage Cadet allowance and activity accountsMaintain customer relations and correspondence for overdue accountsAlert CFO to problem accounts, review all accounts, and prepare follow-up correspondenceRun lists and reports for other departments, as requestedPrepare background information for accounts to be turned over to collection agency/attorney and monitor those accounts for resultsPrepare and monitor payment and TILA schedulesSet up of financial aid schedules in BlackbaudAssist with preparing and mailing re-enrollment materialsProcessing all enrollment contractsEnter payments and prepare deposits for all income other than students' accounts and ensure credits to proper accounts, including all school-related trips and fund-raising activitiesBillings for charges other than students, including facility rentalsOther ResponsibilitiesPrepare audit schedules, as they relate to Accounts ReceivableProvide administrative support to the Finance, Investment and Facilities Committees of the Board of Trustees, as neededAssists in the administration and coordination of the School's activities programMonthly annual fund and capital campaign (if any) reconciliationsAct as receptionist for front officeAssist in business office mail distributionCross train on other business office duties to become backup personOther duties as assignedEducation and Background3+ years of accounts receivable experience - all phases of A/RKnowledge of spreadsheet, database, e-mail and word processing software packages, Blackbaud experience preferredStrong data entry and 10-key skillsExcellent skills in oral and written communicationsCustomer-oriented with great people skillsAbility to work with and get along well with others, including studentsAbility to balance multiple tasks and projects, and handle time deadlinesRequires a high amount of professional confidentialityWorking Conditions: Must be able to work with multiple distractions and changing prioritiesMust be able to lift and carry 15-20 lbs.Must be able to walk and sit for extended periods of timeMust be able to work occasionally during off-peak hoursMust be able to climb stairs, and ladders, and reachWorks in standard office conditions and climate and occasionally outside for eventsJob Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $19.71 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingAD&D insuranceDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid sick timePaid time offPaid trainingVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:All employees are required to follow CDC and Virginia Governor guidelines.
