Job Opportunity: Federal Accounting Manager2ndWave is seeking an experienced Federal Accounting Manager to prepare monthly accounting reconciliations, journal entries, and Government wide Treasury Account Symbol Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS) submissions. The Federal Accounting Manager will lead a team of professionals in supporting the day-to-day accounting responsibilities for GTAS.Specifically, the Federal Accounting Manager will:Prepare recurring and ad hoc journal entries (eg, accruals, eliminations).Prepare monthly reconciliations to validate completeness of the general ledger.Prepare GTAS bulk files from the general ledger records, and facilitate submission to the Treasury, including resolving Treasury edit checks.Provide business requirements for PeopleSoft to ensure system configurations align with accounting and compliance requirements.Perform ad hoc accounting, budgetary, and compliance research.Support non-routine work hours for month close activities.Required Qualifications:Public Trust clearance.Experience supporting monthly Governmentwide Treasury Account Symbol Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS) submissions.Knowledge of federal accounting and compliance requirements.Familiarity with DATA Act requirements.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.Strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and high-level analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong client consulting skills, with an ability to work independently and lead teams.Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
