A growing government contractor is looking to hire a Billing Analyst. Position is 100% remote currently, but candidates local to the DMV area are preferred as our client will eventually return to the office in some capacity post-COVID. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of full-cycle billing experience in the government contracts space, with at least 1 year of project setup experience. Experience with Deltek Costpoint 7 is required.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and confirm invoicing requirements with the Project Finance, Contracts Administrator and the Program/Project Manager(s)Invoice customers in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures invoices are in compliance with appropriate contracts, guidelines and regulations. Identifies issues, researches same and remedies as appropriateUnderstand the basic contract document(s) as it relates to billing and revenuePerform project set up functions for new contracts and modificationsCreate and maintain all electronic set up billing filesRemit invoices to customers; Input invoices into customer's web-based invoicing systemsIdentifies billable costs vs non-billable costs and creates appropriate invoicesReview A/R aging report and resolve any collection issues over 30 daysEstablish a business relationship with internal and external customers. Provide guidance and support to facilitate accurate and timely billing and prompt collectionAnalyze and reconcile unbilled receivables monthly and ensure timely resolutionAssist with the preparation of the annual auditPerform other duties as assigned by managementIdentify potential problems or areas for improvement and suggest solutionsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business discipline; job experience may be used in lieu of educational experience3+ years of billing experience working in a US Government contracting environment; billing FFP, T&M, and Cost Plus contract types1+ years of project/billing module experience with Deltek CostpointIndependent, self-starter who can multi-task effectively and work with minimal supervisionPreferred QualificationsProject set up experience
