Location: Remote - Travel to customer sites as required (CONUS)Shift: Full-Time, 1st, estimated 40 to 45 hours per week - Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required in support of project requirements from time-to-timeThe Project Engineering Manager will have experience/familiarity with managing both large and small projects. Qualified applicants must have demonstrated experience in the planning, design and implementation of media related facilities, and the ability to serve as a client interface throughout the duration of a project. Must be familiar with commercial Audio / Visual systems and will accept responsibility for reviewing system designs, creating system documentation including equipment lists, spreadsheets, and supervising system installation crews as needed.Applicants will have working knowledge of commercial Audio / Visual systems and have had experience working with clients in developing system designs.This role will involve working closely with the engineering team for delivery of responses to customer Request for Proposals (RFPs), solution proposals, sales quotations, contract Statements of Work (SOW), and implementation of A/V, Structured Cabling, and VTC equipment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Attending customer meetings as required to gather and compile customer requirements.Documenting customer requirements and filing in a central repository. Attending site surveys as directed by Engineering and/or Sales to gather and compile installation requirements.Some site surveys may require travel and overnight stays at customer sites. Travel is required and estimated at 25 to 50%.Reviewing site survey documentation produced by sales reps along with needs assessment reports.Assisting in creation and management of technician timelines and schedules. Attending and supporting daily and/or weekly internal/external project meetings.May provide phone support to field technicians during installation and testing of newly installed equipment. May also provide field support as a project lead/PM to ensure quality of work is not substandard.Creates Gant charts and project schedules as needed for the construction management teams.Oversees and assists the installation team to ensure timelines, schedules are met.Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.Responds to technical support requests of facility stakeholders.Establishes, updates, and implements department procedural documentation as required.Working closely with clients and internal parties to translate project requirements into achievable deadlines, ensuring schedules and budgets stay on track. Projects will encompass: audio-visual services, information technology, cloud and related products.Leading project team members, providing performance feedback and supporting overall project efforts, achievement of goals/objectives and defined SLAs.Communicating frequently with clients to identify and resolve issues, in a timely, professional, and transparent manner.Developing and communicating project plans, engineering and technician schedules, status reports, communication plans and other documents as required.Qualified candidates will possess the following skills and abilities:Evidence of work history and proficiency in the MS Office Suite applications of Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Evidence of work history and proficiency in Excel performing data evaluation, formulas, and analytics.Communication skills - Evidence of work history with technical writing and oral presentations. Experience in managing projects around the core concepts of Project Management Institute (PMI) methods, business process management, collaboration, and/or system development lifecycle.Demonstrated experience in applying project, portfolio, enterprise architecture, and capital planning practices with an IT organization.Education and ExperienceAssociate's degree or higher preferredAvixa or other Audio Visual certification desiredSecurity clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance - Experience managing federal customersMust have a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience in Information Technology (IT), A/V and/or Structured Cabling systems preferred, managing IT projects or programs focused on interpreting and applying IT policy and guidance to operational IT environments.Key Competencies/BehaviorsAbility to take ownership of tasks directly and also delegate when neededInitiative, ensure installation teams meet or exceed high quality standardsTeam oriented, works well with othersCustomer centricTrustworthy, acts with integrityPlanning and organizational skillsAdaptability and stress tolerance - Must be able to shift gears and support several roles (examples: project planner, scheduler, support, testing, security, engineering)Screening Requirements: Background Check, Drug Testing, Must be US Citizen capable of obtaining security clearance
