The job is somewhat flexible requiring 30 hours per week.Full Job DescriptionThe Bookkeeper handles all financial aspects of the company. They work directly with the President/Owner, Field Technicians and Administrative Assistant to ensure daily and weekly financial functions of the office are completed in a timely manner.Must be proficient with Sage 50(Peachtree) softwareAccounts Receivable - Invoice customers, process payments, make deposits and handle collectionsAccounts Payable - Generate purchase orders, reconcile ship tickets to purchase orders, contact vendors regarding discrepancies, enter vendor invoices and pay vendors in a timely manner.Manage and reconcile credit card charges and accountsHuman Resources - onboard new hires, monitor company policies, work directly with outside payroll processing company.Keep all certifications and licenses up to date.Answer telephones to support Administrative Assistant.Be a friendly face for the companyAccomplish any other tasks assignedSkillsSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailQualificationsSage 50(Peachtree): 3 years (Required)Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)High school or equivalent (Preferred)Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible schedulePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Day shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Peachtree/Sage Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
