Overview for this positionA' . The Human Resources & Operations is a dual role involving general human resources and operational responsibilities. The role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in the following HR functional areas: payroll changes, time tracking, benefits, policy development and implementation, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding. The operations component of this position is responsible for administration including office management and supporting the governance and board services function.A' . The successful candidate could either be someone experienced at this level, or someone who is ready to step-up. We are looking for a hands-on, pragmatic, detail-oriented professional who is proficient in HR and corporate administrationEssential Duties/Responsibilities - HR (65%)A' . Responsible for providing operationally focused HR support with a broad generalist remit; be familiar and up to date with HR laws and regulationsA' . Maintains, update and implement HR related initiatives and polices to support leadership team and AICR operationsA' . Inputs payroll changes each pay period (in conjunction with Finance team)A' . Manages time and attendance systemA' . Manages employee benefit programs and relationships with benefits vendors and ensures cost effectiveness and competitiveness of plans offeredA' . Responsible for recruitment efforts including job posting, preliminary screening of candidates and contracts for new joinersA' . Manages onboarding, orientation process and offboardingA' . Manages performance management programA' . Creates and maintains all employee files and records, HR forms, org charts, reports etc.A' . Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employmentA' . Consults with legal counsel as appropriate/directed by Executive Vice PresidentA' . Plans and manages staff events, such as staff meetings, trainings, outings etc.Essential Duties/Responsibilities - Operations (35%)A' . Responsible for management of the office including layout, appearance, furniture & equipment.A' . Responsible for overseeing the relationship with the building management and ensuring services are provided according to leaseA' . Responsible for operational systems such office security, parking contracts and mail room machinesA' . Works to ensure efficiency of the office environment and processesA' . Serves as liaison to brokers for insurance coverage and other business processesA' . Responsible for maintaining, ordering and stocking of office suppliesA' . Approves & reconciles appropriate invoicesA' . Supports Governance and Board Services function by:o Maintaining and organizing corporate records and fileso Ensuring business and non-profit licenses, registrations and certificates are completed annually and updated as requiredo Supporting preparation for Board meetings, including detailed agenda and papersRequired Experience and Skills: A' . Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business ManagementA' . Minimum of two years progressive experience in HR ManagementA' . SHRM certificationA' . Fluency regarding HR compliance, principles and practicesA' . Experience with ADP HR ModuleA' . Payroll experienceA' . Knowledge of MS OfficeA' . Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skillsA' . Excellent verbal and written communication skillsA' . Hands on management style and resourceful problem solvingA' . Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality, discretion and sensitivityA' . Able to effectively prioritize workload and manage multiple tasksA' . Hard working, able to respond to evolving needsPreferredA' . Non-profit or association experienceA' . Strong computing skills, including advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and AdobeA' . Experience drafting memos, reports, org charts and presentationsA' .
