A successful Store Manager will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively. The Store Manager is also responsible for managing all store operations and activities to ensure profitability.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe the driving force behind the ALEX AND ANI message of positive energyExpert on product knowledge by keeping current on all new collections as well as core product lines to assist customersOperate cash registers, manage financial transactions, and balance drawersMaximizing profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do soEnsure team is operating with highest level of customer service at all timeEnsure all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner and in alignment with company policyConsistently achieve customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, payroll and expense goalsEnsure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standardsProvide regular coaching and feedback to staff and ensure sales goals and results are communicated to all associates throughout the storeCommunicates all Retail Communication and HR Communication memos to teamConsistently upholds a neat, clean and organized store and stockroomAssist in visual presentation standards and ensure the store is replenished at all timesMaintain compliance with Retail Operations Policy and ProceduresParticipate in and lead open and close proceduresManage merchandise processing, including tracking of company assets through inventory controlManage staffing, orientation and training to ensure competent associates are hired, trained and scheduled to properly service our customers; develop and coach store personnel in the areas of brand/product knowledge, solution selling, standard operating procedures and customer satisfactionOversees the protection of all company assets, controlling internal and external lossTravelThis position requires limited travel (0-25%)Qualifications and RequirementsMinimum of five years of Retail Sales experienceTwo years of management experienceExcellent communication, delegation, follow-up, and time-management skillsProven ability to multi-task and direct activities at all levelsAbility to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the businessMaintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environmentAbility to motivate sales teamsExceptional organizational skillsThe ability to read, write, and perform basic mathThe ability to stand and walk for extended periods of timeCapable of lifting up to 40 poundsProficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
