We design, manufacture, and test state-of-the-art materials and turn them into products for our customers.Job Summary: Euclid Beamlabs is seeking a full time Engineering Lab Technician to construct, maintain, operate, and upgrade laboratory equipment in our Beltsville, MD facility. This position works directly with Principal Investigators, Project Managers and Senior Leadership to meet deadlines while developing new epitaxial growth processes with new electron emission materials as well as HPHT and CVD diamond growth for emerging technologies. Candidates should have significant hands-on experience in multidisciplinary laboratory practices and be able to quickly transition from team-to-independent activities and will participate in multiple projects in addition to those below.Minimum Qualifications: A' . Hold at least a high school diploma or GED.A' . Demonstrable hands-on skills including repairs and part fabrication for electro- mechanical systems.A' . Have at least 2 years of experience as an Engineering Technician, Electrical Assembler, Mechanical Assembler, HVAC Technician, Auto Repair Technician, Machinist, or Electrician.A' . Experience with office software (MS Excel, Google Docs)A' . Detailed and meticulous, taking pride in your work.A' . Demonstrated ability to work in teams.A' . Effective communication skills.A' . Ability to lift 80 pounds.You exceed minimum requirements if you: A' . Hold an AS or AAS degree in engineering, natural sciences (excluding biological fields), applied technology, mechanical or electrical trades, Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science.A' . Have at least 3 years experience in the assembly of scientific research apparatus or complex electro-mechanical, optical, ultrahigh vacuum, and/or cryogenic systems.A' . Possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.A' .
