Finance Operations Manager
Alvarez & Marsal is looking for strong candidates with finance and project management experience to join the Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) internal operations team. CPI's internal operations team designs and administers internal processes that enable line professionals to be effective in the market. The Finance Operations Manager would facilitate and support all of the finance functions of the CPI practice. These broad areas include strategic planning & budgeting, financial management, and compensation. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in many of the following areas: * Finance functional effectiveness * Financial planning and analysis * Cost management Responsibilities Include: * Support the CPI Finance Lead in all aspects of managing and operating the business * Provide insight and assistance to practice areas around strategic plans, budgets and forecasting * Prepare CPI consolidated budgets and forecasts for leadership * Support project analysis, validation of project plans, and ad-hoc requests * Monitor and manage expenses within the established budget * Act as a liaison between CPI, multiple business units, and corporate functional areas * Support year-end compensation process * Provide direction to leadership on the most effective means of communicating key issues to the business * Draft communications for leaders to address matters as warranted Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus * 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting * Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information * Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior leadership * Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills * Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment Diversity & Inclusion A&M's entrepreneurial culture celebrates independent thinkers and doers who can positively impact our clients and shape our industry.
