As a Sales Specialist at Cisco you'll play a pivotal role in the sales process and work with the Software Defined Enterprise Network portfolio of technology products. You'll help advance the US Public Sector Federal Networking sales team and make our customers lives better and easier. Who You'll Work With A successful Cisco PSS will work with Cisco Account Managers, Systems Engineers, Technical Leaders and Sales Managers to plan sales strategies, develop proposals, deliver customer presentations/demos, and close the business. Technical sales experience required. This position covers our US Federal Territory and covers both Federal Civilian and Dept of Defense customers Who You Are You are a Sales Specialist responsible for selling Enterprise Networking, Routing, and Wireless technologies. In this position, you will be facilitating the success of Cisco account teams in selling specific Enterprise Networking, Wireless, and Digital Network Architecture technologies related to your area of expertise, with measurable sales objectives. This is a specialist position on the US Enterprise Networking team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a business plan to meet and exceed assigned quota. Our minimum requirements for the role are: * Minimum 3 to 5 years sales experience in Enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and network security technologies that might include Software Defined Access and Software Defined WAN solutions. * Proven track record in managing and winning opportunities, with the ability to work unsupervised; ability to interact as a value-added team member. * Experience with software solution selling is desirable * Ability to manage a long and complex sales cycle * Experienced in multi-level selling, comfortable influencing CxO, IT Managers, Purchasing, etc. * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Good listening and strong presentation skills * Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and multiple levels of the organizations (account managers, technical leaders, Partners, Channels, etc.) * Requires a solutions sales approach versus a product "box drop" * This person must work well with teams and with technology partners * Position requires a passion for driving strategies; a strong personality with demonstrated leadership skills working in a complex matrix organization; a strong presence and credibility established with the client base and internally. * Travel is required * Direct Federal Customer experience desired * Proximity to the Washington DC area desired * US Citizen * US Govt.
