No one is above taking out the trash.This is our one and only life.We choose to be here.WHAT WERE LOOKING FORAt Solly Baby, we are looking for a very hands-on, thoughtful and insightful Sr. Accounting Manager / Controller who is looking to tell the brands story through the numbers, while helping write the next chapter. Solly Baby is at an exciting inflection point and needs contributors that have helped a brand scale to the next phase in the business maturity lifecycle.Partnering with the CEO, the Sr. Accounting Manager / Controller will be responsible for building and maintaining the integrity of the companys financial records and systems, while establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, controls, and principles.This person will be responsible for building out the accounting & finance functions, ensuring that the company has an accurate understanding of where its been in order to make sound decisions on where it will go. This role leads the execution and reporting to internal and external parties and works closely with business partners to support a fast-growing, omni-channel baby products brand.This role has tremendous growth opportunities in both accounting & finance, for candidateswith the right work ethic and attitude.BASIC REQUIREMENTSManage day-to-day accounting operations, including inventory management, AR & AP, GL management, billings, vendor setup, banking activities, etcManage the month-end close process with the goal of achieving a 7-day closePerform various reconciliations, ensuring GL balances are accurate and foot to sub-ledgers and lead schedules; reconcile order-to-cashcollection, ensuring cash receipts on all ordersPrepare weekly, monthly, and annual budgets, forecasts, LRPs, and variance analysesDevelop and maintain cash forecasts, ensuring that the company has the necessary liquidityAudit, develop, implement, and maintain internal policies, controls, processes & procedures, systems, etc, to streamline operational efficiencies and comply with GAAP standardsPrepare and lead the company through external financial audits, thoroughly understanding how the results and conclusions impact the businessOversee payroll & benefits administrationfor a company with employees in multiple statesManage federal, state, and local government regulatory & compliance, tax preparation, reporting, and filing requirementsAssist with board material preparation, communication, and ad hoc analysesNON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTSYou welcome rolling up your sleeves. The company will utilize an outsourced accounting firm part-time, but you will be required to get down and dirty.
