We are looking for a professional Risk Manager to join our team! The Agency Professional Liability Risk Manager is responsible for the overall errors and omissions (E&O) professional liability risk management strategy within the National Professional Liability Program. This includes being the primary national contact for all E&O risk management related materials, working with the Big "I" Professional Liability Committee (PLC) working groups and ensuring strong relationships with insurance companies and state associations. Goal of position is to mitigate E&O losses and improve the loss ratios for the overall program. PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY: Direct and administer the insurance agency professional liability risk management programs and products available and offered to IIABA members. Serve as risk manager for large E&O members and Alliances. Plan, organize and produce E&O risk management related articles as needed. Responsible for working with carriers on the overall strategy of agency E&O risk management and implementation of developed strategy. Assure company provider relationships are maintained, seeking to maximize the resources of these providers for the benefit of Big "I" members. Plan, organize, develop and present at least one CE webinar each year. Maintain and improve the flow of information relevant to position between IIABA, BIA and state association members, including within the BIA team and with MSI products relevant to position. Analyze carrier claims data to identify loss drivers and trends. Manage state associations relationships and provide the information and tools necessary to aide them in their risk management efforts. Provide and present relevant content for the E&O Programs Conference as required. Serve as project manager for the development of future risk management products Oversight and development of the risk management seminar including determining topics, general content structure, finding content experts, evaluating their capabilities, negotiating project fee and reaching contractual agreements. Respond to E&O risk management related inquiries. Produce risk management webinars individually or in partnership with other parties. High level oversight and maintenance of approved auditor and class instructors. Attend various meetings and conferences. 2. MARKETING DUTIES: Oversight of promotional programs for insurance agency professional liability risk management products in relation to position. Appropriate publication quality and frequency in BIA and IIABA publications including Insurance Illustrated, IN&V State News, BIA Newsletter, IA magazine and IN&V Agent Edition. Serve as contributing writer for IA Magazine for E&O. Primary risk management contact for external insurance industry publications and professional associations Be a resource to marketing team with input on the overall marketing/selling of IIABA program as it relates to risk management including non-insurance products, eg Rough Notes Advantage Plus. 3. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Assure a high level of customer service in interactions with insurance company providers, agency and state association members on all agency E&O risk management products either directly or through design and monitoring of provider relationships. 4. BOARD/COMMITTEE: Assist the VP BIA in assuring that the PLC and AAS Board of Directors are kept adequately informed on developments in agency E&O risk management. Liaison to the risk management related working groups within the PLC.
