DESCRIPTION: Patricio Enterprises (PE) is seeking a Network Engineer (Tactical Radios) to serve as the Field Service Representative Lead in support Project Manager Tactical Radio (PM TR), Readiness Management Division (RMD), and the Product Offices with regards to Material Fielding, Integrated Product Support, Platform Integration, and Field Support services. PM TR is the Army s provider of tactical combat network radios and waveforms to the Warfighter at brigade levels. The Project Manager shall manage performance, cost, and schedule of all Integrated Product Support deliverables. Primary duties will include (but not limited to) : Serve as Working Leader to lower-grade personnel and is considered an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements. Review, assist and mentor lower-grade employee s work for quality, accuracy of work. Provide communications engineering expertise to PEO C3T in pursuit of technical and policy solutions to tactical enterprise and local area C4ISR challenges facing the Army s current and future forces. Provide analysis and assessments and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities in support of the PEO C3T global warfighter C4ISR support plan. Support the Government by performing tradeoff studies for system level design and material acquisition of tactical communication systems implement and test such methodologies and devices. Serve as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements. Independently design, modify, and install portions of the network infrastructure. Assure non-functioning network components are repaired / replaced in a timely manner through maintenance contracts. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Requires technical expertise in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support. SME with regard to strategic areas of SoS architecture development including next generation technology insertion strategies, and integration planning of future C4ISR capabilities. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Active DoD Secret clearance. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level (ie, 4 additional years in lieu of a Bachelor s / 8 additional years, if no degree). A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively more complex experience in network design, development, and documentation. A minimum of fifteen (15) relevant years of experience with tactical radio communications systems to include the following; SINCGARS Radio Set to include legacy ASIP Radio Sets, AN/PRC-148(V)2 and (V)4s, AN/PRC-152s, High Frequency (HF) Radios Sets to include the AN/PRC-150 and AN/PRC-160, Legacy SATCOM Radios such as the AN/PSC-5C and the AN/PRC-117F/G, software defined radios such as the AN/PRC-154A/C, AN/PRC-155, AN/PRC-148C, AN/PRC-163, AN/PRC-158, and AN/PRC162 and Tactical Networking Radios such as the AN/PRC-166, AN/PRC-168. A minimum of eight (8) relevant years of experience working with the planning of tactical communications waveforms such as SINCGARS, Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW), and Tactical Scalable Manet (TSM), and network planning software such as the Harris CPA, JENM, ACES, RAP-TR, Black Sails and ATOM. Experience in Field Engineer support of Tactical C4ISR systems in an OCONUS region supporting units in combat operations and/or advise/assist missions is preferred.
