**Description:**Basic Function: Cuts and forms raw sheet metal used in equipment parts.Perform MIG, TIG, and STICK welding on a daily basis.Qualifications: High school diploma and prior relevant work experience or vocational training.Skills Required: Operate single edge deburring machine, sheet metal shear and sheet metal punching machine; Basic shop math skills; ability to read parts prints; ability to accurately read tape measure and combination square; good communication skillsRelated Factors:* Ability to lift up to 80 lbs as required* Stand for 8 hours per day* Routine bending and squatting to get parts off pallets and return parts to pallets* Occasional driving a sit down forklift* Ability to follow directions* Ability to walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, etc.* Ability to talk and hear frequently* Ability to occasionally reach with hands and arms* Strong work ethic* Good attendance/punctuality* Ability to talk, hear frequently* Ability to walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, etc.Protective Equipment Required:* Safety glasses* Welding helmets* Leather gloves & aprons* Steel toe shoes* Ear plugsWork Environment:Concrete floorsHot/Cold temperatures depending on seasonsUse of stairs, occasionallyNoise level - loud**Skills:**Fabricator, Welding, Machinist, Machining**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**They need to be able to MIG weld diffferent types of metals.
