Overview: Intelligent Waves, a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Fed/DoD Contractor, has an immediate need for an Accounts Payable Accountant to support our Finance department in Reston, VA. Responsible for processing of Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense.Location: This Accounts Payable Accountant position is remote.All job offers with IW are contingent upon showing proof of vaccination for COVID-19, absent a need for reasonable accommodation for a disability or sincerely-held religious beliefs against vaccination. Responsibilities: Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Day to day processing of vendor invoices including review of documentation and approvals and input into Accounts Payable module.Assemble appropriate documentation (ie purchase order, receiver, packing slip, etc.) for approved invoices and archive information into accounting system.Complete vendor set up and maintenance. Process vendor applications and maintain vendor accounts. Obtain and maintain supplier W-9 forms and ACH information.Process weekly ACH/checks/wires recommendation for Approval and prepare payment file for approved amounts.Respond to vendor and internal customer inquiries and seek proper resolution. Reconcile vendor statements.Maintain files and documentation associated with vendors and vendor payments.Support annual 1096 and 1099 forms filings to the IRS annually by due date.Perform Credit Card data downloads & uploads. Reconcile credit card payments to purchase orders and expense reports.Manage and maintain CONCUR travel & expense system.Employee setup and maintenance in CONCUR.Review and process employee expense reports while adhering to government regulations and applicable accounting procedures and practices.Perform CONCUR downloads and upload to accounting system.Maintain files and documentation associated with vendors and vendor payments.Reconciles accounts payable control accounts and travel advances.Assist with Project setup in Unanet.Other projects as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years related experience with two (2) years hands-on experience working with a government contractor. Five years of Accounts Payable experience preferred.College Degree preferred, however will consider candidates with additional years of experience in Accounts Payable without the degree.Detailed orientated and able to produce quality work without errors.Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to solve problems independently, and responsible for meeting deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to work in the United States without work visa sponsorship.CONCUR/Unanet experience a BIG plus.Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
