Who are we? We are a deep tech satellite communications company with over $100M worth of investment in our first product, launching in 2022. Our major shareholders include Boeing the worlds largest aerospace company and SES the largest satellite operator by revenue. The space industry ground segment has always operated with one single antenna/terminal, capable of delivering only one connection to a single satellite and relied upon geosynchronous satellites. Isotropic Systems next-generation satellite terminal offers many simultaneous connections from a single terminal ("multi-beam"), whilst on the move, without ever-increasing the antenna cost to manufacture or compromising on performance. In-house manufacturing is achieved using state-of-the-art facilities at world-class Engineering Campus in Reading. Requirements Isotropic is seeking an experienced Director of Product Management who will be responsible for leveraging Isotropics breakthrough optical beamforming technical to develop the Government Terminal product line that best solves of the needs of the US DoD and other global government customers. You will use your expertise of the military SATCOM industry to directly influence Isotropics product strategy and direction. You know the markets, customer organizations and needs, operators, service providers, terminal vendors, and modem vendors like the back of your hand and you will become an expert in all aspects and features of Isotropics terminal. You will take this information and work hand-in-hand with engineering to determine the ideal design trades across all subsystems, prioritize feature developments and rollouts, and define a product roadmap that gives your product line the highest right to win across each market while balancing development effort and cost. You are a problem solver and you will drive innovation throughout the product development lifecycle. This is not guesswork. You will use your extensive industry experience to analyze opportunities, identify risks, and clearly communicate your product decisions across the organization and directly to the senior leadership team. In your role as product expert you will also provide technical support to sales, BD, and marketing. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Develop and own the Government Terminal product roadmap that leverages Isotropics unique technology and balances the requirements of a wide range of customers to offer the highest right to win in each segment * Capture detailed market requirements in MRDs * Create and deliver clear and thorough product level requirements to engineering * Evaluate market requirements and the competition to prioritize features and design trades * Drive innovation in all aspects of the design through hands-on analysis * Develop the go-to-market strategy for your product line * Represent Isotropic at conferences and events * Technical support for sales, BD, and marketing * 5+ years of SATCOM experience with at least 2 years of experience in a product management role * In depth knowledge of the key industry players (operators, service providers, terminal vendors, modem vendors, etc.) * Self-driven with excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Team player! * Bachelors degree in related field. Essential Skills and Experience Needed * 5+ years of SATCOM experience with at least 2 years of experience in a product management role * In depth knowledge of the key industry players (operators, service providers, terminal vendors, modem vendors, etc.) * Self-driven with excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
