Sales Account Manager, Door & WindowReports to: Sales Director, Door & WindowLocation: This position is a remote role but it is required to travel to meet customers in-person in the assigned territory daily (Monday-Thursday). Friday is a work from home day.Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM (Will vary)Pay Rate: Salary + CommissionSummaryThe Account Manager will grow both unit and dollar sales in the territory consisting of Washington DC and Northern Virginia. The individual will visit current accounts, solicit new business on a disciplined schedule, assist with all needs and train where necessary without bias. The Account Manager is responsible for meeting goals set by Director of Sales on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Candidate is expected to hold and represent ProVia's Purpose, Vision, Mission and Values.Travel BenefitsAccount Managers will receive a car allowance and meal allowance.Reimbursement for mileage, tolls, and parking.Airfare, hotel stays, and rental cars are also covered by the company as needed.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Visiting our customers on a disciplined schedule is a requirement.During new product rollouts, an extended schedule is allowed to give ample time to review product and pricing updates with each customer.Weekend work - ProVia does not promote this; however, sometimes you may be requested by a customer to attend an "Open House" or "Home Show".Sales Meetings - All Sales Meetings are posted months in advance. Account Managers are required to attend all Sales Meetings unless approved by Director of Sales.Meet all quantitative and qualitative goals.Train and motivate account owners, sales and installation personnel via seminars and one-on-one coaching.Travel within designated territory daily to service current and potential new customers by vehicle.Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leadsOrganize and maintain documents required for accounts, business plans, and expenses.Work with customers inside and outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature current.Address customer complaints and resolve with management as needed.Assist customers with investigation and resolving service issues on product as needed.Use of computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointQualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.Ability to work with generally accepted mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.An intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to carry out job duties.Physical DemandsAbility to sit or stand, using a desktop computer or a laptop, as well as other office equipment and supplies continuously.Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. and place/remove them from a vehicle. Carrying up to 50 lbs. between vehicle and customer training area. Product samples will be assigned to each Account Manager for products the Account Manager is responsible for and will range in varying weights. The ability to adequately store these products is critical and the required physical effort needed to organize these products in your personal place of storage, such as a garage is equally important.Ability to make multiple trips between personal vehicle and customer training area and/or presentation/trade shows while carrying up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand and move freely for at least an hour while also holding samples. In some scenarios, such as trade shows, longer standing time will be required.Service Calls: Ability to carry sashes/entry doors, climb on ladder/stepladder while completing service/warranty repair on a window/door. There will be scenarios with product inspections that mechanical aptitude is highly beneficial. Basic tools will be needed and are the responsibility of the Account Manager to provide for troubleshooting and resolving minor service issues.Traveling: Some market areas require significant amount of time in a vehicle. Account Manager must be able to sit/drive for periods of time that is needed to adequately cover that day's travel and be able to travel throughout the entire assigned marketplace.COVID Requirements: Due to social distancing, some customers require offsite meetings to be held either outside or in a warehouse setting with unregulated temperatures. These meetings will have various types of surfaces to stand on and will require standing for up to an hour or more if necessary.
