The Leader will manage and coach the Supply Chain program management team, the Product Stage Gate manager, senior project managers, and functional PMs, driving the company's most cross-functional and critical initiatives. The Leader will also facilitate the PM Council, ensuring successful collaboration and integrated ways of working with the Director of IT Delivery, the Sr. Manager of Product Marketing, and the VP Digital Product.In this position you will own an outcome-centered project management practice that puts customer (Coach and Client) benefits first and also ensures the development of project management capabilities across the entire company. The SPMO Leader will strongly influence and directly support strategic prioritization, playing a key role in the company's Adaptive Planning process. You will ensure that all projects are resourced for success. You will lead, influence, and work with diverse cross-functional stakeholders to manage projects to their successful outcomes. With your highly effective communication skills, systems experience, and insights, you are able to transform ambiguity into clarity.Ii. Job ResponsibilitiesBuild, coach, and lead the SPMO team and nurture project management capabilities across the enterprise. Drive the development and adoption of principles, policies, standards and guidelines for program & project management. Manage strategic programs and individual projects to successful outcomes: defining projects, identifying risks, engaging with stakeholders, facilitating pre- and post-mortems (retros), and managing project teams and activities. Working with and through the SCTO Sr. Program Manager, ensure the success of critical Supply Chain Transformation programs and projects.Ensure the effective development & functioning of the company's product development process (Product Stage Gate).Develop and manage the portfolio of enterprise projects for executive prioritization and recommend actions to maximize strategic outcomes, playing a key role in the company's Adaptive Planning strategy process.Facilitate the PM Council to ensure successful collaboration and shared ways of working across IT, Digital Product, Product marketing, and Strategic PMO. Build and execute collaboration and communication rhythms between SPMO and other teams, focusing on establishing high performing execution capabilities. Evangelize the creation of a learning culture across the entire organization.III. SCOPEManages the SPMO team: Sr. Program & Special Projects Manager, Sr. Project Manager for Enterprise Projects, Stage Gate Process Manager, Project Manager. In 2022, expecting to add Project Coordinator with responsibility for the enterprise resource management system. Manages the PM Council, collaborating directly with the Director of IT Delivery, VP Digital Product, and Sr. Manager Product Marketing. Responsible for enterprise projects representing the greatest execution risks and largest budgets.Interacts with executive and senior staff on a regular basis. Ensures projects deliver according to budget, scope, and time with no disruption to Coaches and Clients. The position requires strategic thinking and relationship building with executive management through to line workers. Iv. Knowledge, Education, Skills & AbilitiesMinimum 15 years professional experience, with at least 7 years' in a project management capacity with exposure to both waterfall and agile project approaches, including direct leadership of teams and full accountability for project executionBachelor's degree required; MBA or Masters in relevant professional area desired.Must have experience in successfully managing enterprise scale projects such as ERP upgrades, HRIS deployments, Ecommerce platform implementations, and site integrations. International experience is a plus.PMP or similar project management certification desiredExperience in leading Agile teams desired Problem solver who actively listens to and empathizes with customer and user needs in order to define the right approach and manage tradeoffsStrategic thinker who can tie the results of initiatives to the goals of the organizationPrevious experience managing, coaching and mentoring teams of Project ManagersUnderstanding of technology architecture, data, process, operations and design and related disciplines. Demonstrated leader with strategic influencing skills, strong decision making, negotiating and conflict resolution skills, effective relationship building skills (internal and external), and strong analytical and problem solving skillsAwesome ability to communicate and facilitate up, down, and across the organization, knowing how to adjust to each type of audience and how to draw in stakeholders to build commitment and create psychological safetyExperience in direct selling industry or food manufacturing is a plusExperience in integrating with the following enterprise platforms would be an asset: Oracle Cloud, Hybris ecommerce, middleware such as MuleSoft, and Warehouse management systemsAt Medifast, Relationships Are At The Center Of What We Do!We thrive by elevating our connections with one another as well as with our Coaches & Clients.
