We are now looking for an enthusiastic full-time civil / traffic engineer to help expand our civil engineering practice in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.*Responsibilities: ** Manage traffic engineering, and/or safety projects and contracts* Manage projects involving the design of traffic control devices (signs, markings, signals) and/or ITS.* Manage traffic analyses and modeling for all MOT phases and stages* Oversee quality and contribute to complex technical decisions on a range of multi-modal transportation engineering assignments* Perform advanced and specialized drafting (2D and 3D) to support design activities to develop MOT phases and stages* Collaborate to Implement traffic management strategies.* Assists with proposal preparation and participates in business development efforts;* Performs other duties as required.* Apply deep understanding of traffic signal design, operations, and/or systems* Complete traffic safety and operational improvement studies for localized intersections and corridors* Provide analyses of traffic safety issues and crash reduction measures* Address community traffic engineering and safety issues* Manage projects involving simulation and signal optimization plans to maximize transportation system throughput (using Synchro, Sidra, Vissim or related software)* Complete access management reports*Qualifications: ** Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required. MS in Transportation Engineering a plus;* Professional Engineer's license required or ability to obtain within 12 months;* 4-10 years of experience in traffic engineering/ roadway engineering* Experience in preparing final design plans associated with traffic signals, signing and striping layout, and temporary traffic control/detour/staging plans;* Experience developing designs, from concept development through final design for transportation infrastructure, this includes roadway widening, pedestrian, bicycle, and mass transit facilities.* Working knowledge of the MUTCD, HCM, ADA regulations a plus;* Experience with HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, AutoTURN, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and GuidSIGN/ SignCAD software a plus;*Compensation: *Salary is dependent on experience level; health, dental, and vision insurance; retirement account (3% match; no vesting period); paid time off; holidays; and short-term and long-term disability insurance._CES Consulting, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
