Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sr. Sales Strategist has the responsibility leading efforts of digital strategy, service solutions, and proposal support for the company. The Sr. Sales Strategist will leverage their business acumen, technical understanding, editorial experience, and enthusiasm for collaboration to drive the creation of thoughtful, winning proposals that help Unleashed meet established quarterly and annual sales targets.This position incorporates several disciplines-often switching between breadth and depth mindsets to balance a holistic perspective with important details. Working diligently to prioritize and balance considerations for business needs and technical needs, the Sr. Sales Strategist will work passionately with potential clients to help craft concepts and solutions for proposals that lead to the development of an effective build strategy.This role will put you at the center of ensuring that our prospects and engagements receive a first-class experience. You will help our prospects and clients develop their digital goals to support their success. We are looking for a flexible, personable, and communicative self-starter to help lead some of the nation's most exciting enterprise, open-source projects.This is considered a full-time remote position, with an occasional (1-2 times per month) in-office attendance expected as public health guidance permits. This is primarily to support occasional team-building, collaboration sessions, pitches, or client kickoff meetings. This position may require occasional travel to client locations for pitches and project kickoffs to ensure a strong line of communication, however Unleashed will work with team members to ensure they are comfortable attending in-person events on a case-by-case basis, factoring in fluid situations involving COVID-19.Primary ResponsibilitiesBuild a strong foundation between Unleashed Technologies and prospective clients through thoughtful questions that result in comprehensive, relevant, and strategic proposalsEffectively manage multiple opportunities, requirements, estimates, and proposal support simultaneously Collaborate with senior leadership on pipeline reporting, sales strategy development, target verticals, and new sales targets.Capacity to support and manage activities related to inbound client calls, technical solution ideation, design, and implementationCommunicate (both written and verbal) Unleashed Technologies offerings and servicesCreate and update Unleashed Technologies case studies that enhance the Unleashed story through proposals, our website and promotional materialsRely on a solutions-driven mindset to understand customer needs and influence stakeholdersDevelop initial drafts of solutions for varying prospective needs and/or strict Request for Proposal/Request for Information requirementsDevelop and evolve contractual terms and pricing strategies to align a range of client needs to delivery requirementsPlay an active role in shaping the types of clients, projects, technologies, and approaches the company takes to providing solutions for clients, with a balance between known client needs and what is required for the long-term health of the Unleashed working environmentPut together an initial Basis of Estimate (BOE) based on technical knowledge and prospective needs/requirements, and collaborate with internal developer and project management staff to confirm assumptionsSupport the proposal writer with technical acumen and help produce/review technical content for solutions-driven deliverablesAssist with proposal creation, especially executive summaries and describing approaches that address specific project requirementsAssist with pitches or review of proposals with prospectsAssist & support strategic partnershipsSupport hand-off to production (DM) upon conversion to clientSupport the Marketing Team on content creation activities and deliverables when there is clear synergy or overlap with content required for the Sales team, including:Writing support for client case studies including website case studies, marketing promotion materials, and proposal case studies tailored to align with specific opportunity requirementsProvide thought-leadership by collaborating with our digital marketing team to create blog post content around strategically determined topics that also support general proposal needsEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science or communications is preferred but not requiredExperience leading and architecting the development of solutions for proposals is strongly preferred3-5 years working for a digital agency or experience articulating technical solutions at a marketing or public relations firm2 years in a customer-service oriented or client-facing roleQualifications (Required)Facilitation of meetings, client calls and proposal and pitch preparations with internal staffBusiness analysisResearch and testing of new solutions/technologiesFamiliarity with Federal procurement processes to support mostly subcontracting opportunitiesFamiliarity with multiple State, Local and Education (SLED) procurement processes for prime or subcontracting opportunitiesCreation of diagrams and other valuable artifactsStrong conceptual understanding of open-source technologies and provide estimates for proposalsStrong editing and writing skillsConducting and ordering background research to support proposal items like executive summaries or other insight additions to proposalsExperience fostering a positive prospect and client experienceExcellent time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlinesPrevious sales and/or customer service experienceExperience in estimating larger technology engagements and comfortability with crafting similar solutions;
