This is a highly visible position within the organization, working with the executive leadership team, shareholders, advisory board, and external counterparts.As McK is growing nationally at an exceptional pace, the Chief of Staff will be involved in building up the organization, establishing partnerships, communicating with shareholders and stakeholders.The role requires experience with cross-functional teams and complex projects, strong organizational capabilities, a balanced mix of rigor and agility, process-driven, and a global outlook.The role is based at McK headquarters in Washington, DC. What you'll do:Design and manage the Office of the President and Chief Executive Officer, including workflows, prioritization of time spent, and execution of key priorities. Ensure efficient hand-off of projects to functional teams and follow through until completion.Serve as a trusted advisor and representative to the President. Enable rapid, well-informed decision-making by filtering, aggregating, and organizing data from key sources and presenting in an actionable format.Establish and refine processes and tools to manage the business cadence of the organization including planning, metrics, cross-team communication, and decision-making.Represent the President on inner / inter-department programs and ensure adherence to timelines, milestones, and critical paths defined by each initiative. Identify and mitigate risks, resolve concerns, unblock progress, and escalate issues.Work closely with senior executives reporting to the President and their teams to help them effectively run their team and business.Lead both strategic and operational initiatives and build effective bridges and alignment through strong partnerships and communication skills.Handle special projects and additional incoming requests.Support external outreach and networking, research new ideas, and help drive innovation throughout the organization.Support the President in preparing for existing and future BD pursuitsQualifications10-15 years of leadership experienceAbility to excel, leading in high growth, transformational environment. Experience in Management/Strategy Consulting, AEC, and/or federal government is a plus.Extensive experience in planning, organizing, and directing the completion of strategic projects for an organization while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.Reputation as a pragmatic problem-solver who has a talent for organizing thoughts on complex issues and synthesizing a resolute strategy to address them.Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop connectivity and earn credibility throughout a diversified organization.Expertise and ability to handle and manage many activities at once, knowing how to effectively prioritize.Exemplary communication, writing, and analytical skillsA successful track record of working effectively and delivering results in a highly matrixed and fast-growing organization.McKissack & McKissack is an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
