In this role, a typical day willinclude:Conduct technicalevaluation of information system design, focusing on informationsecurity aspects andaccreditationUtilizevarious information system inspection tools to audit systems,analyze potential vulnerabilities and identify mitigationapproaches tosupportPerformvulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support accreditation andother program protectionactivitiesPrepare andreview program documentation to include Risk Assessment Reports,Accreditation Packages, and security policyguidesCoordinate withexternal organizations and guide accreditation packages through thecustomer processReviewrequests for software installation and conduct technical riskassessment on implementation of thesoftwareWork closely withsystem administrators to validate patching, AV definitions andother security tools are updated/notvulnerableCoordinate andtrack security action requests andstatusAssist contractorswith system designs to incorporate appropriate security features,conduct pre- accreditation inspections, and provide assistance inpreparation of accreditationdocumentsConduct periodicassessments of contractor facilities to ensure compliance withsecurity requirements tailoring requirements asneededAssist customer staffwith resolving any operational security issues involving supportingcontractorsMaintainoperational security posture for theprogramConduct weeklyauditing requirements and analyzeresultsWHATYOU'LLNEED:CurrentTS/SCI with PolygraphBA/BSor equivalent + 2 years of relatedexperienceDoD 8570 IATLevel II certification or higherrequiredOn call requiredfor 24x7 support - EssentialpersonnelStrong analyticaland problem-solvingskillsLeadership skills toguide and mentor less experiencedpersonnelStrongcommunicationsskillsAbility to lead andwork as part of ateamCWIP- IAT level II Compliance:Personsprovide network environment (NE) and advance level computeenvironment (CE) support. Responsible for finding and fixingunprotected vulnerabilities and ensuring that remote access pointsare well secured. Focuses on threats and vulnerabilities andimproving the security of systems. Demonstrates a mastery of thefunctions of the IAT Level I position. Monitors, tests andtroubleshoots hardware and software IA problems pertaining to thenetwork environment. Recommends and schedules IA related repairs toinclude performing IA related customer support functions such asinstallation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance,in response to customer requirements for the network environment(NE). Analyzes patterns of non-compliance and identifiesvulnerabilities resulting from a departure from the implementationplan or that were not apparent during testing. Provides leadershipand direction to IA operations personnel. Implement applicablepatches including IAVAs, and IAVBs for their environment.
