Department Overview:The Philanthropic Partnerships team is responsible for prospecting, cultivating, and developing effective relationships with corporate and private foundations that lead to new and repeat revenue opportunities. The teams mission is to build and maintain a multi-million-dollar annual revenue stream from a mixture of foundations, related grant-based philanthropic entities, businesses, and appropriate governmental agencies.Position Overview :This is a full-time position. The Grant Writer is a member of the Philanthropic Partnerships team who has a leadership role in accessing and maintaining new sources of revenue, preferably in the range of $1.0 million or greater (initial plus renewals). The primary responsibilities for the position are identifying new potential $1.0 million revenue sources, writing and submitting successful grant proposals to those new sources and following up, as appropriate, to foster and grow a productive relationship with repeat funding opportunities. The Grant Writer is accountable for the timely submission of proposals and follow-up, as needed, to maximize the probability of grant awards.Responsibilities:| Conducts research to identify new sources of potential revenue and submits appropriate and timely grants to access such revenue.| Assists the Philanthropic Partner leadership in the development of strategies, policies, and procedures to increase annual revenue from foundations and other organizations that provide funding based on grant applications.| Prepares grant proposals in draft and final form for internal review and, ultimately, submission.| Participates in maintaining grants deadline calendar and meets deadlines for submissions.| Works with finance and other departments as necessary to prepare interim and final project reports.| Uses Salesforce to maintain an accurate database of current and prospective grant opportunities, as well as current grant awards.| Develops, in conjunction with the Philanthropic Partner team, timely updates for leadership on active and pending grant proposals.| Participates as required at internal meetings and external events related to grant writing initiatives.| Assists the Philanthropic Partner leadership in ensuring that all grant-related activities including sourcing, submitting, and accepting grants comply with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing non-profit business operations.Qualifications:| Bachelors degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Writing or related field.| Demonstrated track record of sourcing and writing grant applications that generated $1 million or more in their combined initial and renewal (if any) submissions.| A recent three-year record of sourcing and successfully applying for grants that, in total, aggregate to $5 million or more.| Certification from the American Grant Writers Association or the Grant Professionals Association is preferred.| COVID-19 Vaccination required.FULL BENEFITS 100% REMOTE
