A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Software Architect to serve as a transformation technical leader, driving system architecture decisions, providing strategy and execution. Currently, this position is remote, but will turn into a hybrid work schedule as of January 2022. Selected candidate must be fully vaccinated. Responsibilities:
- Drive the technical and cloud architecture, configuration, and development application software
- Create the overall architecture, leveraging technical assets to meet the business requirements
- Plan rollouts with the product management team
- Communicate cross-functionally to drive engineering and product alignment
- Collaborate with all partner teams to create shared roadmaps and deliver on the company vision
- Drive the Agile development process around architectural vision and workflow
- Collaborate with the software engineers to build, deploy, and maintain product architectures while ensuring connectivity with other systems
- Establish metrics and processes for assessment and improvements
- Design/develop cutting-edge POCs and solutions with existing and emerging technology platforms
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10 years of software development, solution architect, or architect experience
- 10+ years of experience with architectural patterns, building APIs, micro services, event streams, high throughput systems, with some experience in a cloud environment
- 10+ years architecting highly scalable and reliable back-end systems in production
- 8 years of relevant technical experience in a leadership capacity
- 6+ years of Agile development, including hands-on Scrum team experience
- 5+ years of experience building cloud native architectures, architecting enterprise applications on public cloud platforms and cloud ecosystems, including Azure, AWS or GCP
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise data, analytical architectures and data tools for Apache Spark, AI, and Machine Learning
- 3+ years of large-scale cloud transformation experience as it relates to architecture
- Technical and Architectural leadership with knowledge of both legacy and modern cloud based distributed systems
- Work Status: due to government requirement, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
- COVID-19 vaccine: must provide proof of vaccination to go onsite
