Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has a great opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including managing employee relations, recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, and updating the employee handbook.Major responsibilities- Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)- Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors- Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite- Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections- Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters- Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations- Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department- Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations- Compare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures- Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook Requirements - Are you highly professional? Are you able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity?- BA or BS degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis- Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity- Prior full cycle recruiting experience- Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software- Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws- Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects- Excellent written and verbal business skills- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)This role has an immediate start date.
