Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. Located in Towson, Maryland, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening. Career growth and quick advancement makes this department a desirable place to work. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.Major responsibilities- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs- Execute additional tasks as needed- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis- Fullfill full-cycle A/P- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- Strong familiarity with Oracle- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)- Expertise in Microsoft Excel- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred- Spreadsheet and database capabilities- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
